In this Employee Spotlight, we introduce Alexis. Based out of Dallas, Alexis is a Territory Sales Manager for the South and South Atlantic Region who has been with Dispatch since March of 2019. Read on to learn more about her, her role, and the unique reason why she knew Dispatch was the right company for her.
Can you briefly describe what you do?
I am a Territory Sales Manager for the South and South Atlantic Region. In my role, I am responsible for creating relationships with potential and existing customers who can benefit from utilizing the Dispatch software in their day-to-day business operations.
How has your career grown since starting at Dispatch?
Since starting my career at Dispatch, I have worked under phenomenal leadership. And each day, I am presented with the opportunity to learn something new. I have been able to not only develop my professional skills but also grow as an individual. The core values we embody here at Dispatch are values that I have incorporated not only in the business world but also into my personal life.
What accomplishments are you most proud of?
With COVID-19 changing the world as we know it and forcing us to modify our “normal” way of doing most things, I am proud of my ability to pivot in the face of the challenges and obstacles we have experienced. Also, as a member of the Navy reserve, I was required to temporarily leave the organization earlier this year to serve. Upon returning, I found that there were some minor changes to operations while I was away, and I had to quickly learn a new way to be successful in my role. It was challenging, but I didn’t give up, didn’t make excuses, and did what I needed to do to get things done — I’m also proud of myself for that.
Which Dispatch core value resonates with you the most?
The core value that resonates with me the most is People First. Our customers, employees, and independent contractor drivers are all treated as invaluable assets. It’s truly an amazing organization to be a part of. I am all about “doing the right thing” and at Dispatch — we practice this every day.
When was the moment you knew that you had made the right decision to work at Dispatch?
During my initial interview, it was mentioned that the ultimate goal was to be “the Chick-fil-A” of the industry. And oh boy did that hit home. Chick-fil-A is consistent, the employees are friendly, and despite the lines almost always being wrapped around the building, the service is considerably fast! So, for me, knowing the goal and actually watching it be practiced is what confirms that I made the right decision to join Dispatch.
What is your favorite thing about working at Dispatch?
My favorite thing about working for Dispatch is the number of opportunities there are to grow and explore different roles within the company.
