Nestor recently caught our eyes while doing a cross-country delivery from Baltimore to Kansas City, and we couldn't wait to share his story. Read on to learn more about Nestor, why he chose Dispatch, and what advice he has for other gig drivers who work with us.

How did you hear about Dispatch?

On a Craigslist ad, I wasn’t very sure at first but I always say the only bad experience is the one you didn’t try.

How long have you been driving with Dispatch?

Since April, 2020.

What kind of vehicle do you drive?

2019 Ford Transit 150.

Why did you decide that Dispatch was the best job fit for you and your lifestyle?

Because I can choose when I wish to work and also what assignments I wish to take.

Tell us your favorite Dispatch story!

Last summer I was taking a big order for Sherwin Williams (300+ gallons) for a huge project they sold, we loaded and unloaded over 100 buckets of paint between the store manager, two of his employees, and myself. The store manager was so happy we had delivered this huge order on time and effectively, that he bought me lunch and gave me a brand new set of work gloves. I was grateful for it, but more importantly I had earned their trust and proved that they could count on us. To me, that’s worth more than money.

Why should other people drive with Dispatch?

Because you’ll never be doing the same thing everyday, each and every single day is different.

What’s your favorite thing about being able to set your own hours?

Gives me the availability to balance family time and work, that to me is important.

If you could give any advice to other drivers at Dispatch, what would it be?

Take care/handle every order as if you were the customer that requested the service. You might not notice it but every customer notices/acknowledges how you handle their parcels.
