Indianapolis, or Indy for short, is the capital of Indiana. The city is home to two famous sports facilities: Lucas Oil Stadium and Indianapolis Motor Speedway. In fact, the first Indy 500 was held in 1911 and continues today.
Nicknamed “Naptown,” Indianapolis is also famous for sliced bread, Chase Tower, and the Slippery Noodle Inn bar.
Indianapolis is a great place for families and kids, as the city is known for the world’s largest children’s museum.
