Driver Spotlight: Meet Melanie!

In this Driver Spotlight, we introduce you to Melanie, a Charlotte-based driver who always has a smile and upbeat spirit. She continuously engages with other Dispatch drivers, assists with upcoming orders, and makes it a point to put people first. Read on to learn more about Melanie!

How did you hear about Dispatch?

I actually heard about Dispatch through my husband. He started delivering with Dispatch and really loves it!

How long have you been driving with Dispatch?

I’ve been with Dispatch for almost six months.

What kind of vehicle do you drive?

I drive a Dodge Journey which is considered a mid-sized vehicle, but I am seriously considering upgrading to a cargo van sometime soon.

Why did you decide that Dispatch was the best job fit for you and your lifestyle?

‍

My previous job was so stressful. I would come home miserable every day. Once I gave Dispatch a try and loved the flexibility and meeting such nice people all day, I realized this was what I wanted to do.

Tell us your favorite Dispatch story!

I wouldn’t say I have a favorite story, but one of the things I really love is interacting with our customers. I see a lot of the same people and they really brighten my day.

Why should other people drive with Dispatch?‍

If you are looking for a flexible schedule and are a people person, this is a great opportunity. I also bring home more money now than I was at my previous stressful job.

What’s your favorite thing about being able to set your own hours?‍

I have 5 daughters and 12 grandchildren, so being able to go to sporting events, award ceremonies, etc., has been awesome.

If you could give any advice to other drivers at Dispatch, what would it be?‍

Have fun with it and stay positive.
